(a different) G family

(I say different because I posted another G family a few days ago!)

Once again, the tallgrass field behind my house gives us beautiful pictures! With the sun coming down, it's easily one of my favorite places. We were worried we'd have to reschedule because it rained the morning of our session, but the sun came through and it wasn't too muddy. I've gotten to babysit this sweet angel a couple of times and she is a DOLL. She has a spectacular smile, but she's cutting some new teeth so we had to work hard for those smiles.

Here's your sneak peek, friends!

P family sneak peek!

This is my 4th year to photograph the P family (here is last year's session). I absolutely LOVE being a part of a family tradition; seeing your kiddos grow; having them remember me each year, so that every session is more relaxed and more fun. Four years watching these beautiful girls grow up! It's precious to me.

And big sister is a cheerleader this year, so we got some shots in her uniform (and in action!).

Thank you again P fam, it is always always always a pleasure to spend time with you all!

G family!

Attempting to catch up on my blogging--wish me luck! ; )

Last weekend, I got to meet with this GREAT family, with three of the cutest, sweetest, and most well-behaved boys ever (especially considering how young they are). We had a beautiful morning at Landa Park chasing squirrels, finding sticks and leaves, and playing in the water.

All three boys have GORGEOUS eyes. Wow.

Yes, my camera and I were hanging over the edge of the water. Yes I was praying the whole time. No I did not drop it (whew). But my ponytail almost got wet!

Ohhh these eyes. Totally melted my heart.
This cracked me up--their daddy would make some kind of noise (bird call? I don't know, sorry dad!) and the older boys would do it back to him. SO cute!!!

FINALLY it was time for Miss Cara's bribe treat! They totally earned it, too. Sweet boys.

Thank you, G family, for such a wonderful morning!!!

Baby A, one year old!

I had so much fun last Friday! I got to meet this precious girl:
and her sweet parents! We celebrated her first birthday (a little bit early) at the park.

After a few family shots, it was time for CAKE!!! I am completely spoiled to having my cakes custom-made by Babcakes Bakery. She matches the cakes to exactly what I need, makes the perfect size for pictures, and the only problem I have is that I don't get to eat any. LOL!
You never know how a one year old will react to cake. We had high hopes for serious smashing, and it looked good at first...

but mostly she settled for the icing and then was done. Not a problem, she still looked adorable! (Her mama made the tissue flowers in the tree, aren't they great??! I was so excited!)
 Beautiful girls. : )
Thanks, y'all, for a great afternoon, and happy happy birthday little A!!!
